This was a residential project. The homeowner was experiencing a white ant (termite) infestation that severely damaged the floor’s structural framework. We were called in to restore the flooring by removing the compromised frame, installing a new, robust floor framework, and completing the restoration with high-quality jarrah floorboards.
We began by carefully removing the termite-damaged floor framing. To do this, we had to remove the existing floorboards to reveal the damaged frame below. The team then proceeded to remove all the damaged sections, and thoroughly inspected the area to ensure they didn’t leave any areas for the infestation to continue from.
Once we had removed the damaged frame, the team installed a new floor framework using treated timber, specifically chosen for its resistance to future termite infestations. With the new framework securely in place, the team installed jarrah floorboards as the finishing touch to complete the repair and restoration.
The homeowner was thrilled with the outcome, particularly appreciating the quality of the materials used and the craftsmanship that went into the project.
