This project was undertaken at a residential property in Kalamunda. The property owner got in contact with us wanting to remove and replace the existing roof and expand their living space.
The project began with the removal of the existing roofing tiles that had become worn and damaged over time. Once the tiles had been removed, we removed the solar panel hot water system from the roof and began preparing the roof for the Colorbond roofing sheetings. This involved us replacing and reinforcing the purlins (roofing beams). Once preparation had been complete, the team then proceeded to lay the new Colorbond roof sheets.
In addition to the roof replacement, the project also involved a home extension. The homeowner sought to expand the original three bathroom one bedroom home into a four bedroom two bathroom home by adding a master bedroom and ensuite bathroom to the existing structure.
The new addition was constructed using a steel frame, which provided a strong and stable foundation for the walls and ceiling of the master suite. Once the steel frame was in place, the team insulated the walls and ceiling to ensure thermal efficiency and comfort. The interior was then lined to create a polished, modern finish, while the exterior was cladded to blend seamlessly with the existing structure.
The homeowners were thrilled with the results, the new Colorbond roof providing superior protection against the elements, while the home extension added significant value and functionality to the property.
